Job Summary
The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in advising companies and teams on financial matters, ensuring accurate financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. This role requires 5 - 10 years of experience in financial analysis, business forecasting, and process improvement to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Data Analysis & Reporting
- Gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data, including budgets and income statement forecasts, considering company goals and financial standing.
- Create sophisticated financial reports summarizing key financial risks and opportunities.
- Track and assess financial status by comparing actual results with forecasts.
Financial Modeling & Benchmarking
- Develop financial models to forecast business outcomes and profitability.
- Conduct benchmarking and process analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Perform business studies on past, future, and comparative performance to support financial strategies.
Strategic Advisory & Process Improvement
- Advise senior financial analysts and recommend financial actions based on sound analysis.
- Consult with management to influence long-term and strategic financial decision-making.
- Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance financial efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Requirements & Skills
Experience & Technical Skills
- 5 - 10 years of proven experience as a Financial Analyst.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and MS Office, with Power BI experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages.
- Ability to analyze raw financial data and create informative PowerPoint presentations.
Soft Skills & Knowledge
- Strong presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels ("up, down, and across" an organization).
- In-depth knowledge of financial forecasting, corporate finance, and information analysis.
