Job summary

The Tomball Economic Development Corporation seeks an experienced Assistant Director to lead and coordinate major business attraction, retention, and expansion initiatives in Tomball. This senior role works with the Executive Director, supervises a multidisciplinary team, and advances investments, jobs, and workforce initiatives.

You will analyze proposals, manage incentive programs, develop strategic plans, budgets, and performance measures, and present to the TEDC Board and City partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum five years of related experience is required.
• Experience in economic development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead business attraction, retention, and expansion activities, including prospect engagement and site coordination.
• Evaluate projects, conduct financial analyses, and present recommendations to the Executive Director and TEDC Board.
• Oversee incentive programs, contract administration, compliance, and reimbursement processes.
• Develop and implement the TEDC Strategic Work Plan, track initiatives and performance measures.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports; monitor program expenditures.
• Mentor staff, delegate work, and promote cross-functional collaboration.
