Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking a Director of Economic Development to lead the CIDC's message and steer the CIP Strategic Plan, while overseeing operations, finances, strategic planning, public relations, and stakeholder relations.

This role requires five to seven years of related experience or a related degree, with strong communication skills for Council presentations and partner development; a Texas driver’s license and graduation from the Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute are

Qualifications

Minimum five to seven years of experience in commercial, real estate development, marketing, and sales or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience with property management, project management, public relations, and partnership development.
Minimum five years of experience with real estate activities; minimum three years with transportation activities.

Responsibilities

Oversee CIDC operations, finances, strategic planning, public relations, and governmental relationships.
Ensure consistency and delivery of the CIDC message related to the CIP Strategic Plan.
Communicate effectively in writing and in presentations to City Council, employee groups, citizen groups, developers, builders, businesses and industries.
