Part-Time Economic Development Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing economic development strategies to promote growth and diversification of the local economy in Colorado City, TX. This position will work closely with city officials, local businesses, and community organizations to create and maintain a vibrant economic environment.
Bachelor's degree in Economic Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field. Minimum of three years of experience in economic development, business administration, or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of economic development principles, practices, and financing tools. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and economic development -related software.
Lead monthly or quarterly meeting with Board of Directors. Will work closely with City Manager of Colorado City and will give updates to the City Council or Colorado City.
Flexible work schedule, and maybe work remotely Monday-Friday, 20 hours a week. Will have to report to person to meetings with prospective businesses.
