Job summary

City of Conroe is seeking a Director of Economic Development to ensure CIDC messaging aligns with the CIP Strategic Plan and to oversee operations, finances, strategic planning and public relations. The role also involves managing contractual and governmental relationships to support growth.

The position requires extensive experience in commercial/real estate development, property management, and transportation.

Qualifications

Minimum five to seven years in commercial, real estate development, marketing, and sales or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience with property management, project management, public relations, and partnership development.
Minimum five years of experience with real estate activities. Minimum three years of experience with transportation activities.

Responsibilities

Oversee the CIDC message consistency and alignment with the CIP Strategic Plan.
Oversee organizational operations, finances, strategic planning, and public relations.
