Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks an Econ Dev & Data Center Integration Manager to lead complex projects supporting economic development initiatives, large customer growth, and data center integration. You will coordinate schedules, milestones and risks while liaising with customers and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.

The role requires eight years of project management and a Bachelor's degree in a related field; PMP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Economics, Computer Science, Communications, or related field.
• Eight (8) years of relevant experience in project management, customer project coordination, economic development, utility operations, large customer account management, infrastructure development, engineering, construction management, or related experience.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate assigned projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, and status reporting.
• Serve as a primary liaison for customers, internal stakeholders, contractors, and consultants.
• Effectively communicate project status, key milestones, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership.
• Lead project meetings, customer discussions, and stakeholder reviews while ensuring alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and cross-functional partners.
• Identify, assess, and coordinate resolution of project issues and risks.
