Job summary

Buffalo Horse Inc. is seeking a Budget Analyst/Budgeting and Programming to support a PFPA customer at the Pentagon. The role focuses on budget formulation, reporting, and program analysis to ensure funding aligns with approved plans.

Responsibilities include acquiring packages, SOP development, IT budgeting with SNaP-IT, and workload reporting for leadership. A Secret clearance and DoD budgeting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited university.
• Secret Security Clearance
• Minimum 10 years of DoD HQ experience or equivalent.
• Experience in DoD IT Budget and SNaP-IT.
• 3 years' experience storing financial records per DoD FMR and NARA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site budget analysis support to manage development, execution, reconciliation and review of annual budgets.
• Prepare acquisition packages and track them through approval stages in the financial system.
• Assist in developing the spending and phasing plans.
• Extract and research data from FM systems for budgeting tasks.
• Support POM development to ensure budget linkage.
• Process and track unfunded requirements (UFRs).
• Develop IT budget using SNaP-IT and DoD inputs.
• Develop status reports and dashboards for workload presentations.
