Republic Services is seeking a Division Accountant to record, analyze and monitor financial information with general direction and solid accounting principles. You will prepare financial reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies and may support accounting staff and various administrative functions.

Key duties include journal entries, balance sheet analysis, internal controls, and assisting with budgeting and audits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficient with MS Excel at an intermediate level.
• Ability to research and resolve non-standard issues.
• Effective communication across organization levels and with vendors.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with general ledger and accounting software.

Responsabilités

• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly operational performance reports.
• Assists with internal controls, SOX compliance, and policy adherence.
• May supervise accounting personnel and guide invoicing, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Supports budgeting and forecasting processes with analytical reviews.
• Assists with capital expenditures, transfers, and retirements.
• Supports internal and external audits and information requests.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
