Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Dispatch experience required.
• Detail and customer service oriented.
• Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google G Suite.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Must be organized.
• Proven ability to work in a team and autonomously.
• Basic understanding of transportation logistics.
• Ability to read and interpret maps.
• Partnering and teamwork.
• Ability to work with little oversight.
• Very organized and timely work.
• Problem solving and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Execute shipment plans within the scope of branch operations and United Van Lines.
• Establish and maintain control of all drivers operating in designated area.
• Rating and memoing of previous day’s paperwork.
• Timely status of all orders in the computer as required.
• Ensuring driver’s paperwork is complete, accurate and accounted for daily.
• Plan next day’s route/orders, complete all pre-calls (24-hour notice).
• Assign vehicles and equipment to proper personnel.
• Maintain records and audit driver logs and performance in conjunction with Operations Manager.
• Assist in maintaining vehicle records, repairs, services and mileages.
• Ensure work assignments are staffed with adequate crews to accomplish objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.
