Job summary

BACLT, based in Berkeley, CA, seeks a full-time Director of Stewardship & Asset Management to lead asset health, budgeting, and regulatory compliance across its cooperative housing portfolio. The DSAM will supervise staff and develop long-term capital plans in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

The role reports to the Organizational Director and partners closely with residents and project teams to evaluate acquisitions and ensure strong financial performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in nonprofit housing or related field.
• Knowledge of property/asset management operations.
• Budget development and financial reporting/ compliance.
• Experience supervising direct reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage asset management strategies.
• Oversee budgeting and financial reporting.
• Maintain asset management databases and documentation.
• Support hiring and HR policy development.
• Coordinate with residents, staff, and partners on projects.
