Job summary

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is seeking a Director, Scientific Communications (CNS) to lead the global medical communications strategy for CNS assets and translate complex data into clear, impactful content for HCPs and internal stakeholders.

The role chairs cross-functional teams, shapes disease-state narratives, and partners with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial functions to ensure scientifically accurate, compliant communications across omnichannel formats.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent in science, medicine, or related field).
• 8+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, or related roles within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
• 3-5 years of prior leadership experience, including development and management of team members.
• Experience leading global communication strategies and integrated planning processes.
• Experience in the CNS therapeutic area strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead global scientific communications strategy across CNS assets.
• Chair integrated scientific communications cross-function teams and drive IMCP deliverables.
• Own the Scientific Communication Platform (SCP) and core content assets across Medical Affairs.
• Drive innovative content design and omnichannel engagement including AI and digital tools.
• Ensure content accuracy, compliance and timeliness across regions.
