Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Director of Reimbursement and Contract Analytics to lead the contract analytics function across hospital, physician, and ancillary services. This role will manage a team of analysts and oversee development, validation, and operationalization of contract models, rate sheets, and reimbursement analyses throughout the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BA required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in managed care contracting, reimbursement, healthcare finance, or contract analytics.
• Demonstrated experience leading or managing analytical teams and workflows.
• Strong experience in financial modeling, reimbursement analysis, and contract analytics within a healthcare environment.
• Experience working with contract management and analytics tools and platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required; experience with SQL or other data tools preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract analytics for hospital, physician, and ancillary managed care agreements.
• Mentor and develop a team of contract analysts.
• Develop and standardize analytical tools and financial models for contract modeling and rate sheet development.
• Oversee scenario modeling and rate sheet development for payer negotiations and reimbursement strategy.
• Ensure accurate creation, validation, and maintenance of rate sheets for internal use.
• Oversee contract implementation workflows and validation within contract management systems.
• Manage and monitor contract-related work queues and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain accuracy across a large portfolio of payer contracts with version control.
• Direct ad hoc reimbursement and contract analyses to inform strategy.
• Establish QA protocols to ensure accuracy and quality of analyses and deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to improve modeling, reporting, and contract management processes.
• Partner with contracting, finance, IT, and analytics teams to support execution and performance monitoring.
• Support development of reporting to track contract performance and financial outcomes.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to keep deliverables on track.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures across contract analytics.
• Provide leadership through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Manage departmental operations using data-driven problem-solving approaches.
