Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Director of Reimbursement and Contract Analytics to lead the contract analytics function across hospital, physician, and ancillary services. You will manage a team of analysts, develop standardized tools, and oversee rate sheet creation and validation within systems.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in managed care contracting and strong financial modeling, with advanced Excel/PowerPoint and SQL experience.

Qualifications

BA required; MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in managed care contracting, reimbursement, healthcare finance, or contract analytics.
Demonstrated experience leading or managing analytical teams and workflows.
Strong experience in financial modeling, reimbursement analysis, and contract analytics within a healthcare environment.
Experience working with contract management and analytics tools and platforms.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; SQL or data tools preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the contract analytics function supporting hospital, physician, and ancillary managed care agreements.
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of contract analysts and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
Develop, implement, and standardize analytical tools and financial models for contract modeling and rate sheet development.
Oversee scenario modeling and rate sheet development to support payer negotiations and reimbursement strategy.
Ensure accurate creation, validation, and maintenance of finalized rate sheets for internal use.
Oversee contract implementation workflows, including submission, tracking, and validation of contract builds.
Monitor contract-related work queues and ensure timely resolution and escalation as needed.
Maintain integrity across a large portfolio of payer contracts with updates and version control.
Direct and review ad hoc reimbursement and contract analyses to inform strategy.
Establish QA protocols to ensure accuracy and quality across analyses and deliverables.
Identify opportunities to streamline modeling, reporting, and contract management processes.
Partner with contracting, finance, IT, and analytics teams to support contract execution and data alignment.
Support development and delivery of reporting to track contract performance and financial outcomes.
Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders to keep deliverables on track.
