Job summary

ZincFive, Inc. in Oregon seeks a Director of Product Line Engineering to provide technical leadership for released battery-based power solutions.

You will set engineering direction, drive cross-functional initiatives, and oversee lifecycle management from roadmap to end-of-life, reporting to the VP of Engineering. The role requires leading a team of engineers, managing ECO/ECN processes, and ensuring product quality and supplier alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 13+ years of experience leading complex engineering programs in energy storage, power electronics, or related fields.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership, including team leadership and coaching.
• Experience with released product lifecycles, ECO/ECN processes, and lifecycle management.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and align stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional alignment on product improvements, cost reductions, and end-of-life strategies.
• Develop and manage a team of electrical and chemical engineers.
• Represent technical requirements in executive and engineering forums.
• Oversee change governance and ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
• Drive lifecycle management and field/service support for released products.
