Job summary

ZincFive in Tualatin, Oregon seeks a Director of Product Line Engineering to provide technical and lifecycle leadership for our battery-based power solutions. This role sets engineering direction, drives cross-functional initiatives, and reports to the VP of Engineering.

You will lead a team of engineers, govern changes, and drive cost optimization, reliability, and end-of-life strategies while collaborating with manufacturing, service, supply chain and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 13+ years leading complex engineering programs in energy storage, power electronics, or similar industries.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience managing teams.
• Experience with stage-gate processes and released product lifecycles.
• Ability to drive cost reduction and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional alignment on product improvements and end-of-life strategies.
• Develop and manage a team of engineers across disciplines.
• Represent product requirements in executive and engineering forums.
• Oversee ECO/ECN processes and regulatory compliance.
• Drive lifecycle roadmaps, field upgrades, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, supply chain and commercial teams.
• Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
