Job summary

HBH is seeking a Director, Product Development & Sensory to lead the product development and sensory programs across our portfolio of proteins, frozen desserts, side dishes, and condiments. You will set strategy, own specifications, and manage a direct report, partnering with co-manufacturers and suppliers to drive concepts through commercialization.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (food science, animal science, chemical engineering).
• 8+ years of progressive R&D/product development in food manufacturing.
• Experience mentoring direct reports and developing talent.
• Strong knowledge of food formulation, safety, and regulatory practices.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy for product development from concept through commercialization with co-packers.
• Own sensory programs, testing protocols, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure regulatory labeling and food safety compliance for all products.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Ops, Supply Chain, and QA.
