Job summary

DLA Piper seeks a Director of Internal Communications to lead a high-impact team and shape the firm’s internal narrative in collaboration with senior executives. You will drive strategic planning, content quality, and cross-functional alignment to support the firm’s priorities and vision.

The role sits in US offices with a hybrid work arrangement. You will oversee content across intranet, town halls, email, video, and newsletters, while measuring impact and continuously improving processes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience developing strategy and producing high-quality communications content
• Experience working with C-suite or senior leaders in complex, global or matrixed organizations
• Track record of leading communication strategies for large-scale organizational changes
• Background in journalism, writing, PR, marketing, executive communications, or corporate communications

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage internal communications aligned with business objectives and culture
• Lead and evolve a sophisticated internal communications team
• Develop narratives, messaging frameworks, and campaigns
• Advise partners and administrators on strategic communications planning and engagement
• Align messaging across internal and external communications with PR/Marketing teams
• Provide mentorship to the team and foster editorial excellence
• Produce and distribute content across intranet, town halls, email, video, and newsletters
• Establish metrics to evaluate impact and drive continuous improvement
