Job summary

DLA Piper seeks a Director of Internal Communications to lead a high-performing team and craft a cohesive, strategy-driven narrative across the firm. You will partner with senior leaders to advance priorities, enhance engagement, and bring the firm’s vision to life.

You will develop, execute, and measure internal comms programs across channels, including intranet, town halls, newsletters, and video messages, ensuring consistency and impact across geographies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience developing strategy and producing high-quality communications content.
• Experience working with C-suite or equivalent senior leaders in complex, global, or matrixed organizations.
• Demonstrated success managing communication strategies for large-scale organizational changes and strategic initiatives.
• Background in journalism, writing, PR, marketing, executive communications, strategic content, or corporate communications.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage internal communications aligned with business objectives and the firm's culture of excellence.
• Lead the Internal Communications team and develop a cohesive strategy using technology to maximize quality and speed.
• Create narratives, messaging frameworks, and campaigns to support firm priorities and executive messaging.
• Act as trusted advisor to partners and administrative leaders on strategic communications planning and engagement strategies.
• Align messaging across internal and external channels with Public Relations, Marketing, and related teams.
