The Pingry School seeks a strategic, student-centered Director of Athletics to lead its Middle and Upper School athletics program. This role reports to the Associate Head of School and partners closely with senior administration to align athletics with institutional priorities.

The Director will supervise coaches, manage budgets, and drive a developmentally rich program that emphasizes wellness, belonging, and integrity while navigating modern challenges in independent school athletics.

Qualifications

• Experience leading athletics programs in K-12 or independent school settings.
• Ability to set a vision for athletics that aligns with mission and student growth.
• Strong communication with families, coaches, and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate a clear vision for Pingry Athletics across Middle and Upper School.
• Lead and supervise the interscholastic athletics program with clear ownership and accountability.
• Partner with health/wellness, college counseling, DEIB, and operations to support student-athlete success.
