Job summary

The Director of Library Spaces and Planning at the University of North Florida provides strategic leadership for planning, development, and management of library facilities and spaces. Qualifications

• Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's with 8+ years.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience overseeing library facilities, including space planning and maintenance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of current trends in library spaces in higher education.
• May be required to address after hours emergencies and events.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for library space planning aligned with institutional and library goals.
• Lead the planning and development of library spaces to support teaching, learning, research, collaboration, and engagement.
• Oversee building operations, maintenance, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with campus partners to align library spaces with priorities and donor-funded initiatives.
• Supervise one staff member and participate in planning committees as appropriate.
