Workspire seeks a Director of Industrial Automation & Controls to lead the automation and controls engineering across PLC, DCS, SCADA/HMI, instrumentation, and networks. You will oversee complex projects from architecture to startup, modernize aging control systems, and build scalable engineering standards and teams in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Formación

• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or systems integration with leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, managing technical project delivery, or developing automation capabilities.
• Proven track record delivering complex automation projects from engineering and system architecture to programming, integration, startup and commissioning.
• Experience with brownfield modernization, legacy controls replacement, and migrations within active facilities.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA/HMI, instrumentation, controls, and OT systems.
• Experience supporting technical proposals, project estimating, scope development, and risk evaluation.

Responsabilidades

• Lead automation and controls engineering activities across PLC, DCS, SCADA/HMI, instrumentation, networks, and system integration.
• Oversee projects from architecture through programming, testing, startup and customer turnover.
• Develop modernization strategies for aging control systems, migrations, replacements, and upgrades in active facilities.
• Establish engineering standards, review processes, programming practices, and reusable architectures.
• Build and mentor multidisciplinary teams across controls, SCADA/OT, and commissioning.
• Partner with construction, electrical, operations, and project management to translate engineering into field execution.
• Provide technical leadership for mission-critical infrastructure and integration with building management and power monitoring systems.
• Oversee FAT/SAT, functional testing, integrated testing, startup, and commissioning.
• Support business development through technical discovery, solution development, and proposal evaluation.
• Develop relationships with customers and technology partners to sustain automation integration and long-term service opportunities.
• Evaluate OT cybersecurity, network architecture, and ISA/IEC/NEC/NFPA standards for secure automation systems.
• Establish processes for risk management, engineering performance, and quality assurance as the business scales.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
