Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Senior Director, Government Affairs (Oversight and Investigations) in Washington, DC. You will manage federal and state oversight inquiries, coordinate with Legal and Business teams, and lead development of testimony and briefing materials.

Role requires 8+ years in government affairs or related fields, strong written skills, and proven relationships with oversight entities. JD preferred; health-care regulatory context is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal, political or government affairs and strategic communications experience on Capitol Hill or related settings.
• Experience developing and executing oversight management strategies.
• Deep knowledge of Congressional Oversight Process and political dynamics.
• Proven outstanding written communication skills for time-sensitive deliverables.
• Strong detail orientation and ability to manage projects with high quality.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy and management of federal, Congressional and state oversight inquiries.
• Provide leadership and oversight on time-sensitive oversight matters and testimony development.
• Liaise with Legal to manage document productions and responses to inquiries.
• Develop executive materials and facilitate meetings with federal policymakers.
• Monitor national oversight trends and potential impacts to the company.
• Coordinate responses to investigations with DOJ, HHS OIG and state AGs.
• Lead process improvements for tracking oversight matters.
• Support advocacy efforts at the federal level.
