Job summary

Boar's Head Brand is seeking a Director of Food Safety Supply Chain to lead FSQA across raw materials, ingredients and finished products, ensuring robust controls and compliance.

You will drive audits, supplier qualification, and regulatory alignment with USDA/FSIS and FDA FSMA, while mentoring a diverse team and collaborating with procurement, sales and corporate functions.

This role shapes strategic initiatives and industry leadership while maintaining a strong culture of food safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related discipline.
• Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead FSQA Supply Chain team to ensure food safety and quality across suppliers.
• Define and communicate food safety expectations for raw materials and co-manufactured products.
• Ensure compliance with internal programs and FDA/USDA regulations.
• Collaborate with procurement and channel teams to approve suppliers.
• Oversee supplier audits using risk-based prioritization.
• Address consumer and customer complaints related to materials.
• Maintain an FSQA supplier performance scorecard.
• Participate in strategic FSQA planning with leadership.
• Hire, manage, and develop a diverse FSQA team.
• Represent the company in industry and professional organizations.
