Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) seeks a Director of Financial Reporting to lead its external reporting function as the company expands its U.S. manufacturing footprint in Sugar Land, Texas.

The role emphasizes SEC filings, US GAAP, and strong technical accounting across multiple legal entities and international locations. Reporting to the Controller and CFO, you will drive the close process, oversee intercompany activity, and strengthen disclosures.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience leading SEC reporting and disclosures.
• Public company reporting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and annual proxy statements.
• Lead and develop the financial reporting team across multiple entities and locations.
• Maintain ICFR and SOX compliance, strengthen controls and documentation.
