Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) in Sugar Land, Texas is seeking an Accounting Operations Manager to provide senior-level accounting oversight within the Controller's organization.

This role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger, month-end close, and manufacturing cost accounting, serving as a key escalation point. Working with the Accounting Supervisor, you will provide technical review, guidance, and support for the Controller, strengthening close processes,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA license required; candidates without an active CPA license will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close across AP, AR, accruals, cash, and intercompany activity.
• Review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Provide escalation support for general ledger and accounting operations questions and issues.
• Lead process-improvement initiatives in accounts payable and maintain SOPs and close checklists.
