Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director of Digital Engineering to lead Health100, an AI‑native health technology platform. You will drive the strategic vision, architecture, and execution of a comprehensive digital health roadmap, partnering with stakeholders to align consumer needs with business goals and maintain consumer‑centric design throughout the product lifecycle.

You will manage a hybrid team of engineers and external vendors, ensure delivery velocity, and uphold security,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles.
• Proven track record delivering full‑stack digital products at scale.
• Experience leading large‑scale, globally distributed teams and ensuring health and stability of production operations.
• Knowledge of health data interoperability standards (FHIR/HL7) is a plus.
• Exposure to AI/ML integration in production apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own sprint planning, delivery tracking, and release readiness across Health100 engineering squads.
• Drive day‑to‑day delivery velocity, identify blockers, resolve dependencies, and keep the team moving.
• Maintain engineering quality standards: code reviews, testing coverage, CI/CD hygiene, and deployment readiness.
• Lead iterative delivery cycles from feature scoping to pilot release to scale with product management.
• Own the engineering definition of done, ensuring compliance, security, and performance requirements are met.
