Job summary

Bertelsmann, a global media and services company, is seeking a strategic Director of Corporate Benefits to oversee U.S. health, welfare and retirement programs across Penguin Random House, BMG, Fremantle, Arvato and other holdings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in HR, business, finance, accounting, actuarial science or related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible employee-benefits experience across health, welfare and retirement programs.
• 2+ years leading benefits professionals and managing manager-level direct reports.
• Experience leading benefits strategy, plan design, compliance, financial administration, vendor management and complex implementations.
• Experience interpreting U.S. benefits laws and plan documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Corporate Benefits strategy across participating operating companies.
• Lead design, administration and improvement of health and welfare programs and retirement plans.
• Provide governance, compliance and financial management for benefits including audits and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee vendor relationships, enrollment processes and communications.
• Lead acquisitions-related benefits workstreams and mentor the corporate benefits team.
