Job summary
NYC Health + Hospitals seeks a Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services to lead system-wide pharmacy programs, formulary development, and medication-use policies. You will collaborate with executive leadership, nursing, medical staff, and IT to align clinical practice with cost-effective care across ambulatory and acute care settings.
The role requires at least 8 years of pharmacist experience, including leadership, and a Master’s in Hospital Pharmacy Administration or PharmD with supervisory
Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist with NYSED registration or equivalent.
- Eight years of full-time pharmacist experience, with at least four in admin/managerial capacity.
- Master's in Hospital Pharmacy Administration or PharmD plus six years of pharma experience with leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee central Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and prepare formulary materials.
- Coordinate with IT/Epic build and procurement for formulary cost analyses.
- Lead education on formulary additions and ensure standardization across sites.
- Support Medication Safety Council to analyze errors and implement improvements.
- Monitor drug utilization and lead cost-avoidance initiatives across the system.
