Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals seeks a Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services to lead system-wide formulary development and cost-effective medication therapies across ambulatory and acute care settings.

The role requires extensive experience in hospital pharmacy leadership, device- and policy-driven improvements, and collaboration with clinical and IT partners to standardize processes and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with NYSED registration; 8+ years of full-time experience.
• Eight years total experience as a licensed pharmacist; at least four in admin/ supervision in hospital setting.
• Master’s in Hospital Pharmacy Administration or PharmD with six years of experience, two in admin/supervisory roles.
• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy; ASHP residency or equivalent preferred; two+ years clinical pharmacy.
• Formulary management experience and data analytics for cost improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead central Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities and agenda.
• Coordinate with IT/EPIC teams for formulary builds and documentation.
• Oversee cost analyses for formulary considerations and budget impact.
• Maintain uniform formulary standards across facilities and sites.
• Support Medication Safety Council with error reporting and RCA analyses.
• Precept pharmacy students and residents; participate in external academic collaborations.
