Job summary
Washington Area Community Investment Fund (WACIF) seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead development and fundraising strategies in the DC region. Reporting to the CEO and serving on the Executive Team, the CDO will expand and diversify funding, cultivate partners, and secure resources to advance WACIF’s strategic priorities.
This senior leader will work with the CEO, Board, and staff to position WACIF as a leading CDFI and economic development partner, engaging with private and public debt
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in accounting/finance or related field; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred.
Responsibilities
- Development Strategy: shape WACIF's development program in line with strategic priorities.
- External Relationships and Fundraising: broaden partnerships with philanthropic and corporate funders.
- Fundraising Strategy & Performance: design and monitor fundraising plans and outcomes.
- CEO & Board Partnership: work closely with the CEO and Board on resource strategy.
- Executive & Team Leadership: lead a high-performing development team and collaborate across the organization.
