Job summary

The Diocese of Charlotte seeks a Development Director for Catholic Schools to provide strategic leadership for fundraising across its Catholic schools. You will partner with school leaders, pastors, advancement teams, and diocesan leadership to advance philanthropy rooted in Catholic education.

You will guide annual giving, major and planned gifts, donor engagement, and data reporting while coaching staff and volunteers to build sustainable growth across the diocese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in development and/or fundraising.
• Experience with annual fund growth, donor relations, major gifts, or planned giving.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs quarterly regional or systemwide workshops for school leaders and development volunteers.
• Meets on site regularly with each of the 20 schools to set annual giving goals.
• Develops and carries out annual school fund development plans aligned with diocesan priorities.
• Focuses on major and planned gifts; provides staff and volunteer training.
• Provides strategic data reporting and donor database guidance.
• Expands the donor base and increases donor engagement across the diocese.
