Job summary

The Redford Center is seeking an experienced Director of Development to shape and lead our fundraising strategy and turn mission into philanthropic support. You will lead a development team, cultivate major gifts, and build strong relationships with donors, funders, and the board to advance our environmental storytelling programs.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will collaborate with program and communications teams, oversee campaigns and donor events, and ensure strong development

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive fundraising and development experience.
• Experience leading a comprehensive development program and managing a $3m+ operating budget.
• Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and funders.
• Experience partnering with Boards to advance fundraising goals.
• Strong knowledge of CRM, forecasting, reporting, and data-informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual fundraising plan with revenue goals.
• Lead long-term fundraising strategy across individual giving, major gifts, grants, and corporate partnerships.
• Oversee donor communications materials and donor education strategies.
• Supervise and develop the Individual Giving Manager, Institutional Giving Manager and Executive Assistant.
• Oversee major fundraising campaigns and donor events.
• Ensure strong development operations with CRM hygiene and reporting.
