Job description

Founded nearly 35 years ago, the East Bay Community Law Center (EBCLC) is a non-profit legal services organization and the community-based clinical program for UC Berkeley Law School with a dual service and teaching mission. As one of the Bay Area’s largest and most effective systems disruptors, EBCLC is a racial justice organization committed to providing impactful, holistic legal services, policy work, and litigation strategies across eight program areas: Clean Slate, Community Economic Justice, Consumer Justice, Education Defense & Justice for Youth, Health & Welfare, Housing, Immigration, and Social Work. EBCLC is building a culturally diverse workplace and a union-organized workplace, that is centered on an Internal Equity and Inclusion Roadmap that guides the organization’s equity priorities. With about 80 staff, and 150 law students a year, EBCLC is the largest provider of free legal services in Alameda, County servicing over 5,000 clients annually and engaging in legislative and advocacy efforts at the state and local levels. ABOUT THE POSITION

East Bay Community Law Center (EBCLC) is hiring a Director of Development (DoD) to be based in Berkeley, CA (hybrid role) who will lead the org's fundraising and resource development strategy. We're seeking a racial justice leader with 7+ years of relevant experience who's excited about working with a black woman-led and majority-women-of-color executive team. The DoD is a passionate storyteller and connector that loves building relationships, developing people, executing with the support of a 6-person team, and creating the vision for a comprehensive and diversified strategy to grow revenue streams across foundations, corporate and government partners. Salary range is 100-115k.
