Amentum in Paducah, KY seeks a Deputy Procurement/Contracts Manager to lead procurement and subcontracting activities in compliance with FAR, DEAR, and DOE directives. The position requires a business- or contracts-related Bachelor's degree and experience managing procurement lifecycles, with a focus on compliance, strategy, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Contracts or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement lifecycle activities: planning, solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award, administration, closeout.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DEAR, DOE directives and internal procedures.
• Review and approve procurement documentation: price reasonableness determinations, sole source justifications, source selection records.
• Assist in acquisition strategy development: contract type selection and evaluation methodologies.
• Oversee subcontract administration: modifications, funding actions, closeout.
• Ensure proper flow-down of FAR/DEAR clauses.
• Support audit readiness and DOE procurement system reviews (PERT/CPSR).
• Interface with DOE Contracting Officer, internal teams, and others; represent at small business conferences.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance to procurement staff; oversee workload and performance.
• Act on behalf of the Procurement / Contracts Manager as delegated.
