Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs (OJA) seeks a Deputy General Counsel I to support the agency, its Board, and personnel, handling a broad range of legal matters including contracts, employment law, constitutional law, civil rights, legislation, policies, ethics, and litigation in state and federal courts and administrative hearings.

Requirements include a Juris Doctor degree, Oklahoma Bar membership, and a minimum of nine years of practice.

Formación

• Must hold Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Oklahoma and membership in the Oklahoma Bar Association.
• Minimum nine (9) years of legal experience; lower level available with fewer years as Attorney IV/III as applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Support General Counsel by providing legal counsel and administrative support on agency issues.
• Research and analyze complex information; report findings on agency programs and concerns.
• Provide legal counsel on contracts, regulatory compliance, employment matters, litigation, and proposed legislation.
