Department of Energy Headquarters (HGEO) seeks a Deputy Director for the Technology Development Center. You will provide day-to-day operational leadership, strategic alignment, and direct management of a multi-disciplinary workforce across NETL's campuses.

Qualifications

  • GS-15 level experience in formulating, presenting, or implementing multi-year strategic goals and plans.
  • Experience directing technical or scientific projects, contracts, or grants through completion.
  • Supervisory/executive authority over a diverse workforce with performance management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead strategic direction, long-range planning, and daily operations of the Technology Development Center.
  • Oversee a multidisciplinary workforce and develop performance standards and training programs.
  • Manage hundreds of federally sponsored energy projects, grants, and contracts from research to deployment.
  • Coordinate federal program budgets, cost-benefit analyses, and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as senior liaison to build coalitions with agencies, Congress, states, industry, and academia.
