Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking an experienced Production Planning professional to optimize demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory across a multi-site network. The role collaborates with manufacturing, distribution, and sales to align capacity with demand and improve service levels.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in planning within manufacturing, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in demand planning with strong focus on customer service.
• Experience managing a large number of SKUs in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Ability to develop production plans and inventory strategies and communicate recommendations to executives.
• Skilled at working with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
• ERP systems familiarity; NetSuite and SAP preferred.
• Data mining and MS Excel skills with above-average proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• At least 5 years' experience in a planning or similar role; advanced degree acceptable in lieu of 3 years.
• BS degree in supply chain, operations management, or related field preferred; in-field experience accepted.
• Lean Six Sigma and Project Management preferred; CPIM certification a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage a production plan based on sales demand, forecasts, and inventory requirements to meet customer service goals.
• Develop strategic vision to improve forecasting accuracy, demand planning, and optimize inventory levels.
• Connect Sales and Operations to maximize site network capacity and growth opportunities.
• Analyze longer term demand to address production capacity surplus or constraints.
• Perform statistical analysis of sales data to identify trends and improvements.
• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing for new product launches, transitions, or discontinuations.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Service Managers, and Transportation to improve order fulfillment processes.
• Maintain KPIs for production planning and ensure ERP data accuracy
