Job summary

Compal USA Technology in Texas is seeking a Planner to develop and maintain demand forecasts to support production planning and inventory optimization. You will partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Warehouse, and Customer Service to align forecast with capacity while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in demand planning within manufacturing, strong analytical abilities, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in demand planning or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies and inventory planning.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve weekly, monthly, and long-range demand forecasts using historical sales data, statistical forecasting methods, market trends, and business intelligence.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Warehouse, Inventory Control, Procurement, and Production Planning teams to maintain appropriate inventory while minimizing excess stock and shortages.
Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Warehouse, Customer Service, Sales, Engineering, and Finance to align demand plans with production capacity and supply availability.
Monitor and improve key planning metrics, including Forecast Accuracy and Inventory Turns.
Maintain planning data within SAP or other ERP systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
