Job summary

Riverbend Energetics is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director to lead end-to-end operations for energetic materials and defense components in the United States. This senior role ensures uninterrupted material flow, strategic supplier management, and regulatory compliance across FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and related frameworks.

You will build and mentor a high-performing team, coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and PM, and drive continuous improvement to meet mission-critical

Qualifications

• BS in supply chain, business admin, engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in supply chain with 4+ years in leadership.
• Experience in US defense industry and FAR/DFARS familiarity.
• Knowledge of ITAR/EAR and export controls.
• Proven ability to build supplier relationships and manage performance in regulated manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategy across procurement, inventory, logistics.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team with clear performance expectations.
• Qualify and manage a robust supplier base meeting quality, delivery, and regulatory needs.
• Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure continuity and favorable terms.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and PM to support changes.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and Riverbend policies.
• Drive continuous improvement using data-driven methods to reduce lead times and risk.
• Provide regular supply chain metrics and implement corrective actions.
