Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking a Procurement Buyer to manage all procurement affairs with suppliers and subcontractors for fixed price and cost-reimbursement contracts. The role requires analyzing Oracle material needs, preparing RFQs/RFPs/RFIs, and negotiating proposals to meet program targets.

The successful candidate will handle PO administration, ensure on-time delivery, and coordinate source selection while complying with procurement regulations and internal processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a business area; Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Experience in cost and price analysis and write-ups.
• Ability to negotiate.
• Occasional domestic travel.
• Possible International travel.
• Strong communication (oral & written) and problem solving skills.
• Strong problem solving and program management skills.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Teamwork to meet objectives.
• Timely updates and status communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage all affairs between GDLS and suppliers/subcontractors for various types of subcontracts/purchase orders including fixed price and cost reimbursement.
• Analyze Oracle system material needs.
• Solicit and prepare RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.
• Conduct cost analysis of proposals and price analysis of quotes.
• Negotiate proposals to meet program and cost targets.
• Prepare and administer purchase orders and monitor subcontractor compliance.
• Ensure subcontracts/purchase orders are placed within vendor lead-time.
• Coordinate Source Selection process.
• Ensure procurement laws and regulations are followed.
