Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to develop subcontract specifications, manage subcontracts, and coordinate with contracts, engineering, quality, and program teams.

This role emphasizes government/aerospace procurement knowledge, FAR/DFAR familiarity, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; the base salary ranges from $59,600 to $94,100, with bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6+ years of related experience; OR 2+ years with a bachelor's; OR 1+ year with a Master's.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) to create documents and presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities concurrently.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms for procurement of services and materials.
• Prepare bid packages, conduct conferences, evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontracts, and administer awards.
• Coordinate subcontract funding, invoice processing, and program reviews with stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier quality, delivery schedules, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and export controls; utilize Lean Six Sigma with suppliers.
• Review and approve supplier payments and manage key supplier relationships.
