Job summary

OKSI is seeking a Business Development Director in Torrance, CA to lead growth initiatives that align optic and sensor technologies with national defense priorities. You will build strategic relationships with defense and government customers, monitor market trends, and drive opportunities from identification to funding.

This role demands deep knowledge of warfighter requirements and a strong background in government programs.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with government programs in sales, development, or operations.
Active or eligible DoD secret clearance required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with CRM tools.
Willingness to travel.
Experience with defense/military needs and procurement processes.
Knowledge of warfighter requirements and DoD acquisition pathways.
Familiarity with DoD SBIR/STTR, OTAs, Tech Transition (preferred).
Educational background such as DAU, NDU (ICAF), or War College (preferred).

Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies that integrate OKSI's technologies into national defense priorities.
Build and sustain long-term relationships with defense and government customers.
Monitor market trends and identify emerging program opportunities.
Manage sales operations, including reporting, quoting, and identifying funding vehicles.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align product offerings with market and operational goals.
