Job summary

ALO is seeking a Production / Wave Planning Manager in Coppell, TX to translate demand into an executable production plan and lead the Wave Planning team. You will coordinate with Operations, Labor Planning, WMS, Capacity Planning, and other partners to keep product flowing and meet service targets.

This analytical role requires strong knowledge of distribution operations, WMS, and end-to-end order flow, with leadership experience guiding a team of Wave Planners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, Analytics, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in distribution, fulfillment, production planning, wave planning, operations, or related function.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of distribution center operations and end-to-end order flow.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and wave/order release functionality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to make decisions quickly in a high-volume, rapidly changing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional partners.
• Experience with Excel, BI/reporting tools, WMS reporting, and operational data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the site’s daily production plan based on demand, capacity, and service commitments.
• Translate priorities into executable site-level plans and maintain workload visibility across processes.
• Identify bottlenecks and adjust production priorities to meet targets.
• Lead wave planning and determine timing, size, and sequencing of waves.
• Monitor wave progression and adjust strategies based on throughput and backlog.
• Serve as the Production Control point for daily DC execution and lead planning meetings.
• Coordinate with Operations, Labor Planning, WMS, and Capacity Planning to keep product flowing.
• Develop contingency plans for capacity or system disruptions.
