Job summary

HDR seeks a Resources Business Group Data Steward to shape how data is defined, used, and reused across the Business Group. This leadership role enables better decisions, data reuse, and delivery excellence across HDR’s diverse service lines.

The position reports to the Resources Business Group Technology Director and collaborates with HDR Data Operations and the Technology Leadership Team to drive data excellence and strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in data-focused initiatives.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, or construction data is preferred.
• Strong ability to define data standards, glossary terms, and governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and SME for data definitions.
• Develop data glossaries with business context for key terms.
• Build alignment on data processes, priority, and usage across teams.
• Promote responsible data access, quality, and reuse.
• Govern externally sourced datasets and manage lifecycle considerations.
• Lead a RBG SME network to share lessons learned.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG and with enterprise teams.
• Collaborate with HDR Data Operations and Technology leadership.
