AbbVie’s Operations Quality Data Analytics group is seeking a Data Scientist to build predictive and prescriptive models and oversee end-to-end data science projects. You will work across the AbbVie network with fellow data scientists, business partners and senior leaders to deliver insights that drive decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science or equivalent field with 4+ years (BS), 2+ years (MS) or 0+ years (PhD) of related experience
• Intermediate-level proficiency in Python or R and data mining techniques
• Intermediate proficiency with visualization tools like PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau or equivalent
• Intermediate proficiency with data science platforms like Dataiku, Snowflake, Databricks
• Experience with Machine Learning and other advanced analytics techniques preferred
• Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to convey analytical concepts clearly
• Demonstrated history of successful execution in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Operate cross-functionally with data scientists, senior leaders, and business partners
• Consult with business users to analyze requirements and propose scalable solutions
• Develop advanced data analytical models using supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, predictive modeling and Gen AI
• Mentor and coach team members and collaborate with other data science teams
• Ensure data presented to stakeholders maintains study integrity and is fit for purpose
• Participate in functional innovation and process improvement initiatives
• Adhere to GMPs, SOPs and regulatory guidelines relevant to clinical development
• Coach junior team members and help create standard KPIs and reports
