Job summary

PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) team.

Based across multiple cities including Pittsburgh/Philadelphia, PA, and other major hubs, the role focuses on exploring data, building scalable ML and GenAI solutions, and delivering production-ready analytics to support growth objectives. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in analytics, strong Python or R skills, and experience translating business needs into data products.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant post‑graduate professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a comparable analytics role.
• Ability to design and develop interactive dashboards to communicate, visualize, and monitor analytical results using Python or R-based frameworks (e.g. R Shiny, Dash, Flask)
• Experience building interpretable machine learning models and applying Generative AI techniques
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable, production-ready analytical solutions and data products

Responsibilities

• Use Python or R to explore data, perform analysis, and rapidly prototype analytical approaches within repeatable workflows.
• Design, develop, validate, and monitor interpretable machine learning models with sound statistical techniques.
• Own end-to-end delivery from prototype to production deployment in collaboration with engineering and testing partners.
• Act as a communication bridge across business, product, and engineering teams to gather requirements and document solutions.
• Define and track performance metrics to measure solution effectiveness and business impact.
