Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Data Risk Manager to advance risk programs across the Capital One Risk Management organization. The role focuses on identifying and mitigating data risks, shaping governance, and driving data management initiatives.

The successful candidate will collaborate with line of business and enterprise data management stakeholders, develop enterprise-wide policies, monitor data activities, and report findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience required.
• Minimum 3 years in data management, data quality assurance or data warehousing.
• Minimum 3 years in business systems analysis, audit or project management.

Responsibilities

• Providing data risk guidance both within and beyond the organization.
• Influencing data risk policies and procedures at the enterprise level.
• Developing and leveraging relationships with line of business and enterprise data management stakeholders.
• Creating the strategy for the organization’s data management efforts to align to enterprise policies.
• Monitoring and reporting data management efforts, identifying gaps and remediation options, and escalating impediments to senior leadership.
• Designing and sharing data management processes, procedures, and tools.
• Designing and implementing local data governance processes and procedures.
• Change management to ensure data management impacts are assessed and implemented.
