Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a business development lead for the Strategic Data Partnerships team to structure and close partnerships that advance beneficial deployment of AI. You will design a deal structure, negotiate terms, and work closely with partner managers, the legal team, and product researchers to ensure workable agreements.

You will not be doing traditional sales; this role focuses on deal strategy, governance, and coordinating across legal, policy, and research teams to deliver lasting

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience negotiating and closing agreements across business development, strategic partnerships, licensing, data or content deals.
• Proven track record leading deals from term sheet through signature with non-standard templates.
• Experience negotiating complex rights, use restrictions, privacy and security terms with legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Structure and close partnerships with partner managers and legal teams.
• Work with partner managers and commercial counsel on structure and risk; standardize recurring deal patterns.
• Maintain a clear, current view of the partnership pipeline and communicate status across teams.
