Job summary

Merck & Co. seeks an Associate Director for Specialty Pharmacy Data Strategy, Contracting & Enablement in Rahway, NJ. You will lead strategy, contracting, and enablement of patient-level data assets to support commercial analytics and decision-making.

You will align data requirements with vendor agreements, manage data partnerships, and ensure data quality, governance, and HIPAA compliance across SP data ecosystems and product launches.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech data experience.
• MBA/MS with 7+ years preferred.
• Deep understanding of SP data ecosystem and related data assets.
• Experience translating business needs into data requirements and contractual deliverables.
• Experience managing external data partnerships and data agreements.

Responsibilities

• Define SP data strategy and roadmap aligned to patient journeys and KPIs.
• Lead SP data contracting with data requirements, file specs, delivery frequency, SLAs.
• Partner with Sourcing/Contracting, Legal, Privacy, Compliance to embed data terms in agreements.
• Establish traceability from business needs to data delivery and reporting.
• Manage relationships with data partners and vendors to align capabilities and value.
• Oversee data aggregator engagements, licensing, and governance.
• Lead FMV evaluations for data and related services.
• Drive end-to-end data feed implementations with internal teams.
• Ensure data quality and HIPAA/privacy compliance across workflows.
• Embed data strategy into product launches and vendor transitions.
