Job summary

Black Rock Groups in California is seeking a Data Analyst to turn large datasets into actionable insights. You will analyze data, build dashboards, and support business teams with data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include collecting and cleaning data, writing SQL, creating Power BI/Tableau reports, data modeling, and automating recurring analyses. You will work with stakeholders to translate requirements into KPI dashboards and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

Must have hands-on SQL experience.
Experience with Power BI/Tableau or similar tools.
Understand data modeling, ETL/ELT, validation, and reconciliation.
Proficient Excel skills: PivotTables, lookups, formulas.
Experience with relational databases and large datasets.
Knowledge of Python/Pandas for analysis and automation preferred.
Familiarity with KPIs, trends and business metrics.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
Experience translating requirements to analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

Collect, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports with Power BI or Tableau.
Profile data, reconcile results, identify trends and root causes.
Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and KPIs.
Build data models and reusable datasets for reporting.
Automate recurring reports and analytical processes.
Present findings to stakeholders and document KPIs and data definitions.
